SEIKO „POGUE” PEPSI VINTAGE AUTOMATA CHRONOGRAPH 1974'S FEBRUARY
Reliable, iconic and a favourite for decades.
But what makes us love it so much?
In addition to its unique case shape, what makes it truly unique and iconic is that it was the first automatic chronograph movement to go into space. It was carried by NASA astronaut Colonel William R. Pogue on 14 November 1973 as part of the Skylab 4 project. Hence the nickname Pogue.
Movement is Seiko 6139B, 17 jewels, 21600 sweep and 45 hours power reserve. The movement has been professionally serviced in our workshop. All parts in the movement are original. Gaskets replaced (push button, crown, back plate.)
The dial is black, in nice condition. A special feature is the so-called "Pepsi" lunette, which is also in nice condition. Day and date display at 3 o'clock.
Steel case, threaded steel back.
Case size without crown: 40.98 * 38.80 mm.
Case size with crown: 41.32 * 38.80 mm.
Case thickness: 14.76 mm.
Case to case size: 46.38 mm.
Marked case, structure and back.
The strap on the watch is a vintage style "vintage tropic sport" rubber strap.
The case is original Seiko mineral glass, which is in nice condition.
With one year warranty, service card and Seiko box.
