This contemporary timepiece features a 40 mm stainless steel case that holds a matte black metal dial under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a polished fixed bezel fastened with 12 screws. It has black and luminescent hands with applied indices and Arabic numerals at the 4, 8, and 12 o'clock positions as hour markers, all treated with beige Super-LumiNova. This "Destro"(right-handed) gents' sports watch is also equipped with a lefty screw-down crown, highly distinctive with its "canteen watch" inspired crown protective cap and a day/date aperture at 6 o'clock position for added function and dial symmetry. On the right side of the case is a fixed plate stamped with "U-Boat, Made in Italy". Fitted with a black leather strap secured by a stainless steel buckle which gives off a casual look. This watch also features an exhibition caseback with a U-shaped sapphire window showcasing a Swiss automatic movement beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and is water-resistant up to 100 meters/330 feet.Like all of our watches, this U-Boat Classico Vintage Automatic Stainless Steel Black Dial Black Leather Strap Day/Date Mens Watch is brand new and comes in its original packaging.A watch brand founded out of Italy's Tuscany region 23 years ago, U-Boat is a company based in a country "villa" within Gragnano's hills, a land of marvelous inspiration for founder, Italo Fontana.
